Meeting Impreint was a chance encounter… Recently I was invited to a luscious and spacious terrace on a bright Sunday afternoon to drink some niche French wine with some mutual friends when we first got aquatinted.
I was immediately captivated by the dynamic flow of tables and objets in the terraced space which, was very inviting in a quirky green and leafy outside cafe sort of way. I now understand that the terrace is also an extension of Impreint’s living space on one side of the terrace.

This space has also served in the past as the setting for various art happenings were people come together for networking and showing their work.

Impreint is a warm and inviting person who likes to be an attentive host. After chatting for a bit they asked if they could take my picture as part of their Egocentric series. A series of work which focuses on people and is not addressed to themselves.

I asked them why they pursued this type of work. Impreint answers that they want people to be part of something.

“People answer my call and send me pictures from all over the world because they find it appealing and non threatening to send photos to an artist that remains anonymous because, Impreint could be anyone. It is not about me. It is about everyone…”
