The Crystal Land – White Cube

I go to see shows quite often and I know I haven’t posted anything in a year but I was taking a break. Anyway I often see exhibitions that either resonate with me or not. I either get what the artist is trying to convey even though it is not my style or not.
On Sunday at White Cube the section of woks by Josiah McElheny caught my eye not only because of the aesthetic quality but because for me they represent a window into infinite possibilities. To me his work had a much deeper spiritual meaning in a way, a physical manifestation of the interconnected universe. Abstract reflective shapes each containing a reflection of the other shaped ad infinitum.
