On a cold winter day in New York I decided to take a walk on the High Line and go and see Renzo Piano’s new building design for the Whitney Museum.
This post is a photographic essay showing the exterior views of the building as I approached it from the High Line. I also saw the exhibition space itself which contains a very impressive collection of modern and contemporary American art.
I enjoyed walking from top to bottom in and out of the buildings many levels, exterior open spaces throughout with amazing views of the Hudson River and the industrial heritage of area.
The galleries inside are also amazing as the building offers enormous spaces free of columns.
